NEIGHBORHOOD ISSUES!
The Council election is long over but our neighborhood still has issues! You may want to look at the 2007 Issues and Opportunities developed by the Association Board. This paper outlines some of the key issues facing our neighborhood. And please visit the Parking Issues page to learn about what the Parking Issues Task Force has been working on.
Traffic Calming - Feedback Always Wanted! If you have any comments, please email them to board@ctra.org. And if you moved into the neighborhood after 2004, or if you just want to refresh your memory on how we got to this point, you may find the documents and other information on the following websites to be helpful:

Welcome to the College Terrace Residents' Association home page!College Terrace is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Palo Alto, an odd 2 block by 12 block strip of land wedged in between Stanford University and the Stanford Research Park. We can even claim to be the original Palo Alto: when Alexander Gordon subdivided the area in 1891 he had planned to name it "Palo Alto" but was persuaded by Governor Stanford to settle for "College Terrace" instead! The College Terrace Residents' Association (CTRA) is open to everyone who lives in College Terrace. Jim Culpepper, the founder of our Association, passed away in February of 2003. Since Jim was such an important part of our neighborhood, we planted three Magnolia trees in Mayfield Park (near the library) in Jim's memory. Click here to read more about this special person. As a neighborhood, we treasure the diversity of architectural styles and sizes, the walkability and human scale of our neighborhood, our mix of Silicon Valley engineers, students, musicians and retired people. We do not want to become another uniform "GarageScape" tract! If you're a
resident of the Terrace send a blank message to
our e-news
server and you'll get neighborhood news updates a couple of times
a month. Please check out our
other communication forms as
well. And don't forget to check for
our latest newsletter!
