USEFUL INFORMATION FOR NEW RESIDENTS

Street sweeping is on Monday morning so all cars should be in driveway.
Garbage pickup for most of the neighborhood is on Thursday.
Recycling and yard trimmings are collected the same day. Check online for details of what is recyclable curbside.
Check the City's 'Recyclopedia' for information on how to recycle many other things!
Dogs must be on a leash and droppings picked up.
It is illegal to park across the sidewalk. Blocking the sidewalk also makes it much harder for our vision- and mobility-impared neighbors. Parking vehicles (particularly SUV's) too close to intersections blocks view for cars entering the intersection.
Make sure you keep shrubs and trees pruned back from the sidewalk.
The Palo Alto Weekly newspaper is delivered on Wednesday and Friday to everyone. They also publish a once-a-year guide to Palo Alto with lots of useful phone numbers and other good information.
