OFFICERS' REPORTS

Government/Stanford Observers:

A report was given on the status of a potential parking permit program which would

alleviate the parking congestion along Stanford Avenue and associated cross streets.

Alexandra McFarland and John Ciccarelli continue to work with the Palo Alto Police Dept.

to design a cost appropriate solution which can be reviewed for implementation by the

            affected residents.

Social Coordinators:

Margaret reported that Kate Rooney of city staff will hold neighborhood meetings about

the renovations planned for CT parks on two evenings during the week of June 21.  She

will email final dates to the board and they will be publicized in the newsletter.  The

timing of the meetings will allow a last chance to remind residents to return their

traffic survey postcards to the city by the June 25 deadline.

Communications:

Betsy plans on a June 17 printing date for our next newsletter and distribution on the

weekend following.   She proposed a new "Milestones" column to debut with Mr. Stavn's

life and death as the first topic.

Vice-President:

Paula moved to appoint Donna Matheson to fill the vacated position of

Treasurer. Margaret seconded the motion and the board approved the

            appointment on a voice vote.

BOARD PRIORITIES

Neighborhood Traffic Study:

The board reviewed a sample informational packet prepared by the City of Palo Alto

which will accompany the traffic survey postcards to be mailed this week.  Board

members agreed to take responsibility for speaking about the survey to residents on

specific blocks of College Terrace.  The Advisory Group is printing flyers alerting

residents to the survey and board members will help to deliver them.

NEXT MEETING

The next meeting will be Thursday, July 1 at 1:00 p.m. at Kathy's home.

Respectfully submitted by Holly Welstein, Secretary.
