College Terrace Residents’ Association Board of Directors’ Meeting Minutes, September 17, 2006

The meeting was called to order at 7:40 p.m. by President Greg Tanaka.

Directors present: Greg Tanaka, Kathy Durham, Erika Enos, John Mark Agosta, Arun Sastry, Videhi Mallela, Carolyn Wilder

Absent: Sheila Kothari, Andrea Cook-Fleming, Larry Kavinoky

Review of minutes of previous meeting

• The minutes of the meeting held on 8/22/06 were reviewed and agreed upon by the attendees

Agenda review

• Agenda was reviewed and agreed upon by the attendees.

BOARD PRIORITIES/MAJOR DISCUSSION ITEMS Communications Director Position

• Board unanimously agreed to appoint Carolyn Wilder as the CTRA Communications Director, and Videhi Mallela as the editor of Views From The Terrace.

Community Communications

John Mark proposed having an informal meeting, to inform the community about the ongoing traffic calming efforts
Plan is to have this meeting the morning of Nov 4

Bylaws review committee

• Report not yet available. We will discuss this at the next meeting.

Welcome Wagon

• Erika got information on the Barron Park Welcome Wagon initiatives. Carolyn, Arun, Videhi and Erika will review this information, and come up with a list of recommendations.

OFFICER REPORTS AND OTHER UPDATES Treasurer's Report

• Greg presented on Larry Kavinoky’s behalf. We need to encourage more donations, and also find alternate sources of funds.

Stanford update

• Marguerite’s new routing is resulting in parking issues on some CTRA streets, due to people parking on these streets, and taking the bus to campus. Task force to report on this next month.

NEXT MEETING The next meeting of the board will take place on Tuesday October 17, at 7:30 pm, at Erika Enos' house.
